About the Author

Debra Richardson has taught math for over 20 years.  She developed Function of the Day for bell work several years ago and has been using it every day since.  After seeing such great results with the students in her classes, she wrote two Function of the Day books to share with other teachers.  Richardson presents Function of the Day at math conferences around the nation each year introducing this new bell work to teachers and instructing them how to use it in their classroom. Her mission is to help students learn math by building their confidence through a successful bell work experience with Function of the Day which results in better understanding of concepts and vocabulary, increased test scores, and preparation for college math. Richardson wants to make the resource available to all math teachers nation wide and aims to get Function of the Day in every school.
